FAQ

Questions Buyers Ask

What is a mold base?

The frame assembly of an injection mold — clamping plates, cavity plate, core plate, support pillars, guide system and ejector assembly — onto which the cavity and core are machined.

Do you make custom mold bases?

Yes — custom sizes, plate thicknesses and configurations machined to your specification, ready for cavity work.

Which steel do you use for plates?

718H and P20 grades are standard, pre-hardened for stability. Alternative grades on request.

How accurate are your bases?

Plate machining holds ±0.01 mm; alignment components are hardened and precision-ground.

Can you deliver a complete mold from a base?

Yes — we machine cavities, cores and inserts onto our own bases for a complete mold build (2–4 weeks).
